PLAYING OUR PART IN AN AWARD-WINNING PROJECT

At the Architectural Awards 2007, architects Elder & Cannon claimed the prestigious accolade for re-use of a Georgian building. The relevant project was one on which Chard was appointed contractor: Castlemilk Stable Block.

Chard's commitment to delivering quality solutions was nowhere better illustrated than in the delivery of this complex, daring and adaptive renovation and conservation project.

Chard Chairman, Colin Moore, remarked: "The client - Glasgow Building Preservation Trust - has seen the transformation of this important part of Glasgow's heritage into an award-winning, sustainable working environment with beautifully restored stone facades.

Having considered the scale and challenge of the design, Chard was inspired to translate the architectural vision into a measurable and successful reality."
